Important notes:
blogs:
● use anchor text instead of name
● make valuable comments
● read blogs to be able to make
● can use smileys as anchor text
Important things to look for:
● must be relevant
● do follow - allows search engines
● current (recent)
● active (lots of comments)
forums:
● use forum signatures/sig file to post links in all forum posts
● most forums use bbcode
● some have built-in editors for links
● read forum rules/terms
